Simple, Powerful, Pro-Life Ad
Posted by Danielle Bean in News on Monday, August 23, 2010
Here’s an amazingly simple and yet powerful pro-life ad. It was originally produced as a radio ad in Ireland, but was banned for being “too political.” Now, thanks to the power of YouTube and the efforts of Irish pro-life group Youth Defence, it’s finding a wider audience. Perhaps you can help pass it on!

I blogged about this very cool ad campaign from Catholic Vote at NCRegister last week. I am so thrilled to see this video of the ad on the streets and people’s positive reactions to its pro-life message. You can see the ad up-close here.

At NCRegister.com I’ve been blogging a bit about feminists’ varying reactions to the upcoming pro-life Super Bowl ad featuring football star Tim Tebow. In my research, I was intrigued to come across this pro-life video featuring NFL players from 1989.
With all the furor over the subtle, tame Tebow ad, can you imagine the uproar if they dared to produce something like this today?

I would love to hear your opinion of this latest video from CatholicVoteAction.org, the legislative arm of CatholicVote.org. It’s a response to this sarcastic video from MoveOn.org. I’ll wait and share my thoughts in the comments after others have weighed in.
All For a Song

Back when I first posted the newly released pro-life ad put together by CatholicVote.org, someone asked about the music in it.
I really liked it too.
And the good news is that the song, Close My Eyes by Daniel Schreck, is available for download on iTunes. You can find it by searching on iTunes, or click the link in the left column of the CatholicVote homepage for “Get the Latest Song.”
Learn more about Daniel Schreck’s music at his website.
