Different yet Similar

I love getting advice from more experienced parents, especially ones who’ve had or known lots of children.
Why? Because I’ve found they’re good at reminding me of something I, as a novice mom, often forget: that every child is unique.

I’m all about making lemonade, but the thing is: lemons aren’t enough. You’ve got to have sugar too.

This afternoon before nap time I spotted Camilla’s current favorite “animal book” on the floor next to the bed and suggested we read it. She nodded, but as I picked it up she quickly shook her head and took it out of my hands. “Only Daddy can read that one right,” she informed me seriously, and granted me the privilege of reading one of her less-favored books.
