S Is For Sweet

Time to Shop for Baby Fashions

Hi ladies!

Thank you so much for the many prayers before, during and after the birth of my little one! They meant the world to me! I’ve missed you guys and am so glad to be back! Having said that, I am just a tiny bit sleep-deprived so you will forgive me if my grammar, spelling, and/or clarity leaves something to be desired. Yawn…

Anyway, on to the fashion…

Iron-free Ironing

Where have I been?

Let me preface this post by saying I hardly ever iron. I generally just avoid clothes that need to be ironed and my husband takes all his work clothes to the dry cleaners. In general, the iron rarely comes out.

That, of course, was before.

Then came Isabel. I now iron constantly. Don’t get me wrong, I’m totally enjoying all the beautiful dresses and outfits she wears. It’s just that ironing takes a little foresight, which I don’t always have ten minutes before we’re leaving for Mass.

It’s been such a pleasure for me over these last few months to hear your modesty-related thoughts and opinions.... READ MORE

Baby, Where'd You Get Those Clothes?

The origins of our kids' stuff

Today my son wore ten different items of clothing.

(He’s nine months old. He’s messy.)

And just for curiosity’s sake I figured out how many of those items of clothing we’ve bought for him ourselves.

It’s one. One item - a onesie, to be specific - out of all the clothes Blaise wore the entire day.

That’s about the percentage of his overall wardrobe that we’ve bought for him: 10%. All the rest of his... READ MORE
