A Bad Plan

Last month a federal judge in New York ordered the FDA to allow 17-year-olds access to the morning-after pill without a prescription. Yesterday, the FDA announced it would accept, not appeal, the judge’s decision.
This doesn’t mean Plan B will immediately be available for sale to minors, but if the manufacturer seeks permission to sell it to 17-year-olds, the FDA will grant it.
