There is only one story.
My dad, who is a storyteller himself, has been saying that for as long as I can remember. I don’t think he came up with the idea, but he loves it and repeats it often. There’s one story. Only one.

The Passion on Good Friday

Every Good Friday after the liturgy, my dad watches Mel Gibson’s 2004 movie The Passion of the Christ. Some of my family members always watch it with him.
I am never one of them. I saw the movie in the theater during Holy Week the year it came out, and I’m glad I did, but I haven’t watched it since then.

Stand With Christ, Be With Christ Today

“So they took Jesus, and he went out, bearing his own cross, to the place called the place of a skull, which is called in Hebrew Golgotha. There they crucified him, and with him two others, one on either side, and Jesus between them.”
– John 19:17-18
Be with Christ today. Stand beside the cross and unite your sufferings with His. Compare your wounds with His and see that they are small, but give them to Him anyway. Compare your strength to His and see that you are weak, but give yourself to Him anyway. Walk with Him, bleed with Him, die with Him today.
