Propelling my daughter through her bedtime routine, I often feel like I’m trying to drag her through wet cement.

Listen up, girls. You’re mother is right. If you are feeling stressed, just calling home can make it all better. Or at least help calm you down, anyway.
I loved reading about this study that looked at how young girls, ages 7-12, reacted to interactions with their mothers during times of stress.

My daughter has curly hair.
As a person with very straight hair, I’ve always been a fan of curls. They’re beautiful.
However, you would not believe how much fuzz gets stuck in curly hair. Or maybe you would, if you’ve ever cared for it. I was quite surprised once my daughter’s curls got long enough to become fuzz magnets.

Too-Thin Model Sparks Controversy

Oh my goodness, this is ridiculous. And sad.
When I read about the controversy surrounding a recent ultra-thin model in a Ralph Lauren ad, I figured it was more of the same old thing—fashion models that are dangerously thin is hardly news any more.
