Top Ten Reasons for Praying the Divine Office

What are you waiting for?

1. You get daily Scripture reading and prayer done at the same time.

2. It takes less than ten minutes each for morning, evening, and night prayer if you’re reading it by yourself rather than chanting it in a monastery.

3. If you can’t get to daily mass it’s the best substitute because just like the Mass the Divine Office is also the liturgy of the Church.

4. By praying the Divine Office you are joining... READ MORE

Faith & Family Live ... In Person

Come to our Mom's Day Away in April!

We at Faith & Family have been working hard behind the scenes to hammer out the details of our first-ever Faith & Family Mom’s Day Away brought to you by BibleToys.com.

Save the date: April 2, 2011

This event, to be held at St. Patrick’s Parish in Stoneham, Massachusetts, will be a special gathering of Catholic moms for the purpose of refreshing our minds, bodies, and souls with friendship, prayer, and inspiration.

In addition to talks given by Jennifer Fulwiler, Rachel Balducci, and me, there will also be opportunities for socialization, personal prayer, and access to Mass, confession, and (we’re working on it!) adoration. We will enjoy a catered lunch, book signings, and select vendors.

We are really excited about the opportunity to gather as a Faith & Family family in this way. Our Mom’s Day Away online registration form (which we will update with schedules and other details as they become available) is ready to take your registration.

Seating is limited for this first-ever Faith & Family event. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to feed your soul and revitalize your commitment to your vocation as a Catholic wife and mother.

We look forward to meeting YOU!

(Get all the details at our registration page)

I’ve been reflecting lately, as my sweet baby girl nears her ten month mark, that I’m finally starting to feel like myself again. All these months later, I am finding my stride, remembering that daily household living isn’t always as intense as when... READ MORE
