Hurricane Alex made landfall this evening on the Gulf coast of Mexico. This article has more details about the storm’s status and expected effects. It looks like it has already caused some damage, so I’m praying for its victims tonight.

I love being near the water. I grew up in a town on the edge of one of the Great Lakes, and I think there is nothing like it.
