How Do You Choose A High School?

Our eldest child is in 8th grade, which means we’re in the throes of high school entrance exams and applications.
In our neck of the woods, this has become a huge “deal.”
The local Catholic schools send reps into the 8th-grade classrooms to market themselves.
Kids are invited to “shadow” (spend the day at) the schools that interest them to find a good fit.

This weekend I was blessed to attend my college reunion.
Not my class reunion, but the reunion of my entire college, a now-defunct school that has a total alumni population of only a couple hundred people.
