I could not figure out where the fruit flies were coming from.
It seemed like they were everywhere, touching down on any piece of fruit I left out in the kitchen. Two even turned up inside a bag of bread.
I checked under the edges of the cupboards, under the table, behind the small appliances on the countertops, any place a stray piece of fruit could have rolled or been dropped. Nothing.
