Did you know that when Roe v. Wade was issued, it said that a woman has a right to an abortion only until the baby is viable outside the womb? The Supreme Court later rejected this, but I find that in discussions about abortion, few people are willing to defend the practice of aborting after the viability point.

President Obama released a short statement on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade.
What other fundamental “rights” must be protected yet discouraged? Suppose the President or other Roe defenders had said:
I recommit myself to protecting the free exercise of religion, but will support initiatives to discourage faith.

Did anyone see the October 23 episode of Law & Order, entitled “Dignity”?
I didn’t, but this review of its treatment of the abortion issue makes it seem like a television breakthrough.
