Hello ladies!
The Kentucky Derby is here! Will any of you lovely Kentucky girls be attending (or otherwise celebrating) this weekend? I must admit, being a Southern transplant, I don’t know much about the Derby. The first thing that always comes to mind when I hear it mentioned is ... well, Mint Juleps! Now that’s a tradition I can get behind! ![]()
The second thing that comes to mind is hats! Big, beautiful... READ MORE

Okay. How very sweet and simple and adorable is this?
It’s the Precious Life hair bow, available from the good folks at Hair Bows for Life. 10% of all sales at Hair Bows for Life always goes to support pro-life charities, but 50% of sales of this Precious Life hair bow will be donated to charity.
I think we all must know at least one little girl who could use one of these in her Easter basket this year. Available in lots of sizes and styles.
Outward Signs

I took a deep breath before walking into the grocery store this afternoon. I pinched my cheeks and smoothed my hair and stole one more glance at myself in glass doors to verify that yes, I still had an enormous black smudge on my forehead.
Of course it wasn’t a smudge at all, but a cross—an outward sign of the start of Lent, of my need for God and my desire for change. I know this, but I wondered... READ MORE
Calling Grace Kelly
Posted by AGroup in Just me on Friday, March 04, 2011
More than once I’ve been asked if I have any tips for making shopping for clothes easier. Yesterday it dawned on me that there is one very helpful thing I do that saves me time, energy and money:
I have a style icon. Her name is Grace Kelly and I absolutely adore her look.
Why is having a style icon helpful? Ultimately, it helps me stay focused. When I go shopping, I always have Grace Kelly in mind.... READ MORE

Posted by AGroup in Reviews on Friday, February 11, 2011
Are any of you familiar with Sense of Fashion? I just discovered it myself. It’s like Etsy—a marketplace website—but solely for fashion! They feature items from all over the world, including apparel, shoes, jewelry, and (my personal favorite) vintage goods. Here is an excerpt from their About Us page:
We are the marketplace for fashion.
And like any real marketplace, we are alive: upcoming designers... READ MORE

So ... who’s coming to the Faith and Family Mom’s Day Away with me? I’d so love to meet you all in person!
Since I’ll be flying all the way from Alabama to Boston for the retreat, I have travel accessories on the brain. If I have to fly (as some of you know, not my favorite past-time), I might as well dream about doing it in style! Here are a few of my recent favorite finds ...
How cute is this vintage-inspired... READ MORE
Getting Things Done

Someone recently wrote to me asking how I run my week, if I have a set schedule and if so, what does that look like?
At first, I was inclined to say I didn’t have a set schedule (I don’t have “laundry day” and “cleaning day” for instance) but the more I thought about it I realized I do have one of those. For me, however, it’s just a little more to-the-day instead of to-the-week.
I do laundry every... READ MORE
