Last night, as I was tucking Gabrielle into her bed, she asked me to turn on her electric fan.
“Put it on HIGH!” she told me.
I sighed. This is a nightly battle. Her sister roommates don’t like the fan on high, but night after night, Gabby insists.

When my oldest child was a toddler, we read stacks and stacks of story books every night. She had her favorites memorized and we would spend hours each evening enjoying them together, over and over again.
