We had a mini snowstorm yesterday afternoon.
While I know that a long winter lies ahead and I will soon enough dread the very sight of the fluffy white stuff, the hopeless New England romantic in me couldn’t help but giggle just a little bit with excitement.
The kids raced for their winter gear.

We’ve gotten a fair amount of snow over the past few days.
Daniel has been positively enchanted.
One of the most thrilling things about having kids, I have discovered, is the opportunity it affords us to see the “same ole” things in new light.

Some things make me feel like a kid again.
The possibility of a “snow day” is one of them.
We’re supposed to get a fairly decent snowstorm starting at 4:00 am Friday. They’re predicting six to ten inches of accumulation over a twelve-hour period, but the snowfall is expected to be especially heavy during the morning hours, making travel difficult.
