The Shiniest Floors Ever

E.E.O.Ohhhhh

This afternoon, I heard an odd sound, a kind of trickle coming from the kitchen. I walked in to find Henry standing in the pantry; he had somehow slightly twisted the top of my gigantic, insanely huge bottle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and had tipped the bottle forward. There he stood, watching the fine yellow line that flowed from the bottle onto the floor.

By the time I came upon the scene, Henry was standing and staring and also drenched. His shoes were covered in oil. So were a lot of other things.

For the past few hours, I have been mopping the floors, first with PineSol and then with dish soap. The oil managed to seep out from the pantry and into the kitchen and I am hoping that maybe a few more hours of scrubbing might actually help. Tomorrow night, my home will be filled with my mom and dad’s friends here to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary and I am just praying that none of those dear friends falls and breaks a hip. That would really put a damper on the evening.

Super Powers in a Bottle

What's your favorite cleaning product?

In the meantime, however, this sweet little product—Clorox Disinfecting Wipes—is getting me through.

I love... READ MORE

Two ways to win!

Just in time for cold and flu season—Dial is sponsoring a campaign for clean hands and illness prevention.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, washing your hands is one of the most important things kids and adults can do to keep from getting sick and spreading illness.
