If you’re online much, you’ve probably heard about Pinterest, one of the hottest new social networking properties around these days. Launched in beta in March of 2010, the site is now welcoming over 11 million visits per week and seems to be all the rage among many of my geek friends—especially those of the female persuasion.
What is Pinterest all about? Here’s an overview from the site’s “About”... READ MORE
Google+ or Minus?

How many of our Faith & Family friends have already jumped on board the newest social networking fad, Google+? I’ve seen a few of you there, and it’s likely that you’re among my “mom” or “Catholic geek” circles if we’ve connected at Google’s newest playground.
I jumped in with both feet in late June and have been dabbling with the tool a bit each day since then. For those who haven’t yet used Google+... READ MORE

Catholic Media Promotion Day

This morning, I was happily driving home from taking Adam to school while listening to my friends Greg and Jennifer Willits chat on their radio show The Catholics Next Door. I love their banter, their friendship, and their energy for the faith. So when I heard Greg “tease” a new idea he was planning just as I was pulling into the garage, I simply couldn’t walk away and quit listening. I only have... READ MORE
Facebook: A Marriage Killer?
Posted by Arwen Mosher in Marriage on Monday, February 28, 2011
It feels like I’ve been reading and hearing it everywhere lately: Facebook is bad for marriages.
The statistic I often see is that Facebook is cited as a cause of divorce in 20% of cases.*
I told this to my husband and he raised an eyebrow at me. “Like… how? Someone got addicted to Farmville and neglected their spouse?”

My friends here know I’m very passionate about the use of social media in building community, supporting relationships and especially in sharing the Good News of Christ’s gospel message. But as I prepare to revisit this topic on Saturday with a new group of friends, I would... READ MORE

Meeting "In Real Life"
Posted by Lisa Hendey in Just me on Tuesday, April 13, 2010
This week, I am in the midwest for some speaking and book related events and meetings. Today, I had the opportunity to meet up with two of my online friends in “real life” encounters. The first meeting was with one of my favorite authors, Maria Ruiz Scaperlanda. Maria is a prolific author of such great books as Edith Stein: St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross and The Journey: A Guide For The Modern Pilgrim... READ MORE
