Win or lose, I love election day!
I come by the love of politics honestly: my grandfather wrote a political column for the LA Times, my dad’s a life-long journalist, and I was a pro-life lobbyist for a number of years in my early “career” (such as it is).

The governor of NJ, mayor of Newark and founder of Facebook turned up on Oprah the other day.
They were there to talk about an exciting bipartisan partnership to improve public schools.

The story made the papers during the early part of World War II.
An illiterate Oklahoma farmer, immediately upon hearing of the Pearl Harbor attack:

This is Paul Levy, CEO of a Boston hospital facing tough economic times.
Here’s a heartening story about him and his employees working together to save everyone’s job.
