On the Road

Do you travel alone?

A few years ago, I met a woman who had four boys. She explained that for one entire month each summer, she and her boys (who are older than mine) would head out in their camper and visit state parks from here to California. I was and remain fascinated by that idea. Maybe it’s being married to someone who could always use a few extra hours at the office, but I wonder if (and when) I could swing such an adventure—taking the boys on the road, giving my husband some time to get a whole bunch of work done, and all in all just having some out-of-the-ordinary fun.

Do you travel without your spouse? Would you, have you ever, do you regularly pack up your kids, leave your husband behind and head off for an adventure, just you and your children?
