Blessed Travels
Posted by Arwen Mosher in Faith on Monday, March 08, 2010
Ever had one of those times when a saint really came through for you? This weekend, I did.
My baby and I travelled by plane to see friends in the DC area. It’s a short flight, about an hour from take-off to landing, but I’ve found that when you have a one-year-old on your lap, any length flight feels long!
I’m not an anxious person generally, but as my husband drove us to the airport on Thursday morning... READ MORE
Small Ways to Simplify

This Thursday, Blaise and I are catching a morning flight for a weekend trip to visit his godparents several states away. We’ve had it planned for months.
Then last week we found out Bryan has to take a business trip this week. He’ll be flying home on a red-eye and landing at 6:00 Thursday morning, just a few hours before my flight takes off.
Fortunately my parents live not too far away, so we’re... READ MORE
A Priest's Mother
Posted by Rachel Balducci in Family on Wednesday, January 13, 2010
This morning, we are traveling to the funeral of a dear friend’s mother. Our friend, the Catholic priest who celebrated our wedding and baptized our children, is burying his mother today.
There is something so blessed about the mother of a priest—in many ways she is an example of Mary, mother of the first priest. I have found that many priests do indeed have a special connection with their mother... READ MORE
Saintly Strategic Planning

As you read this blog post, I will be winging my way across the country to Atlanta to attend a strategic planning meeting for the board of SQPN.com. I feel so very honored to be a part of organizations such as Faith & Family, and the Star Quest Production Network.
Having an affiliation with amazing new media evangelists such as Fr. Roderick Vonhögen and Danielle Bean inspires me so greatly in my... READ MORE

A Golden Afternoon

I thought I’d share this photo from my Friday afternoon walk across the Golden Gate bridge. Walking the couple of miles back and forth across the bay, you experience a bunch of different weather formations. Yesterday, looking across the water to the City, billowing fog enshrouded much of the skyline, but it was beautiful and stunning in its own way. Isn’t our God a wonder worker?!

Please excuse this very bad photo of what was, indeed, a wonderful evening. Yesterday morning, I hit the road for a quick trip to San Francisco. My destination: St. Dominic’s Catholic Church and a lecture by Fr. Robert Barron of WordonFire.org. You may recall my earlier post on Fr. Barron’s wonderful endeavor, The Catholicism Project.
Fr. Barron’s purpose in coming to California was to spread... READ MORE
Traveling Toddler-less
Posted by Arwen Mosher in Family on Friday, August 21, 2009
Some close friends of ours are having their first baby, and we are going to be his godparents. He’s due to arrive next month, and Blaise and I have flown down for the baby shower this weekend.
I’m happy to be here and we’re having a great time, but my three-day trip is the longest I’ve been away from Camilla in her entire life. I’ve left her twice before for two nights at a time and missed her terribly... READ MORE

Miniature Miracles
Posted by Lisa Hendey in Faith on Friday, July 31, 2009
This week, I have been sharing with you some of my favorite memories from the “pilgrimage” I took with my parents last weekend. The impetus for the trip was my desire to visit the world famous “Ave Maria Grotto” in Cullman, Alabama. I’ve heard about the grotto for years and had hoped to someday visit this four acre array of miniature shrines, churches, buildings and landmarks from around the world. ... READ MORE
