When "Friends" Become Friends

Meeting "in real life" is awesome!

Yesterday, I felt as though the wall of my Facebook page was coming to life!  I had the great pleasure of attending the Catholic Marketing Network Show and the Catholic Writer’s Conference here in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.  Being on the show floor is a little bit like going to a Catholic Disneyland, but the best part of being present here is the opportunity to meet so many of my online friends... A Day in the City

Come along on a "cool" getaway

Yesterday, Greg had a meeting up in San Francisco, so I decided to tag along for a break from our 100 degree temperatures.  It felt so wonderful to see the Bay, put on a jacket, enjoy noon Mass at St. John of God, and walk in the gardens of Golden Gate Park. I thought you might enjoy seeing this little video, which was shot and edited entirely with my iPhone and the new iMovie App. The music featured is “Amazed” by Sean Clive. Enjoy!

Future Friends

Meeting future classmates!

Greetings from a hotel room in Northern California.  We’re on the road tonight for a special meetup.  Our Eric, the eighteen year old recent graduate, will be gathering for an informal dinner with members of his future college class from the Northern California area.

He’s been excited all week, a bit anxious and curious about these new friends, who could become a large part of his life during the... READ MORE

Socially Responsible Tourism

Do you focus on being environmentally responsible when you travel?

Today’s reporting at Zenit on the annual message for World Tourism Day has me reflecting back upon my last several weeks of frequent travel.  The message has as its theme “Tourism and Biodiversity”, looking at the impact of tourism and travel upon our environment.  Rightly, the document states,

“The situation is seen to be aggravated by the fact that tourist demand directs itself more and more towards... READ MORE

Fully Alive!

Meeting Dr. Greg and Lisa Popcak!

This week’s conference experience has been full of blessings, large and small.  Among the greatest has been the chance to meet a few of my favorite authors and speakers in person.  On Wednesday, I couldn’t write fast enough during Teresa Tomeo’s keynote address.  And today, I had to really stop from looking like a giddy fool when I had the opportunity to meet and chat with Dr. Greg and Lisa Popcak of the Pastoral Solutions Institute. ...
