Better Than Ice Cream

This pretty little pint caught my eye in the supermarket freezer the other day.
It’s not ice cream, it’s gelato. I’ve never been to Italy, but with this available in my freezer, I’m thinking why bother?
Just kidding. But this stuff is delicious. It’s a little bit pricey (I paid $4.99 per pint), but I am now the proud owner of a pint each of Double Dark Chocolate and Caribbean Coconut that are reserved FOR GROWN-UPS ONLY in my freezer. One small scoop of each is a perfect pairing that makes me happier than a whole bowlful of that stuff the kids love ever could.

Coffee Granita From Your Freezer

I like to experiment with refreshing treats in the summer. Imagine my delight, for example, a few years ago when I discovered that making a healthy, delicious, frozen treat was as simple as putting a bag of grapes in my freezer.

Here’s something fun we did over the weekend.
As a family, we give up sugary snacks for Lent, but Sundays are meant to be a mini-Easter, so I told the kids we could make a treat.
