Valentine's Day Is Good for Your Health

Here’s a bit of good news, just in time for the holiday this weekend:

Chocolate Lowers Risk of Stroke

A new review of recent research on chocolate and stroke risk found at least two large studies are suggestive of the health benefits of chocolate in lowering the risk of stroke. The results will be presented in April at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Neurology in Toronto. The first study... READ MORE

Romance Abounds

growing in love

The Story of St. Valentine

a great read for V-day

Good thing we did our weekly chores yesterday afternoon.

Ambrose, who was assigned the job of tidying bookcases, was smart enough to pull this title from the stacks in anticipation of today’s feast.

If you and your children don’t know the story of St. Valentine, you owe it to yourselves to get your hands on a copy of Saint Valentine.

In this short but satisfying read, the inspiring story of the martyred saint’s life and death is accompanied by gorgeous artwork—an enjoyable read for all ages.

Happy St. Valentine’s Day!
